July 2nd...our stuff arrives

Originally Thursday July 2nd was only going to be a day where we had to get out of the house for an hour while the house was being shown to a prospective buyer. We planned to borrow a vacuum cleaner from the landlord (who lives in the house across the backyard) and then take the dogs to the park for a while.

That plan changed a little when we found out we would be getting the furniture we bought on the same day. Not a big change but a change.

Loran brought us some doughnuts that morning and while he was gone I called a few places in Columbus to get someone to clean the house there. So we needed to get a hold of Mike (thanks Mike!!) to have him stop by to let them in. Loran got back and as we were finishing up breakfast I got a phone call saying our stuff was an HOUR out! We rushed around making phone calls to the landlord and the realtor to make sure the clients still wanted to see the house in the midst of chaos.

The neighbor (who happens to be someone from the church I went to in Fond du Lac) watched the girls for us as we checked off boxes and pointed the two movers where to place things. Turns out they are both from Kenosha Wisconsin and happy to be able to be home for the holiday weekend. Super nice guys who worked really hard.

We spent Thursday night and Friday starting to get the house as organized as possible and then headed up to Wild Rose and the boathouse for the 4th.
